YSkills aims to unlock the potential of young people in the Middle East and North Africa, and increase the prospects of underserved youth to find a suitable and challenging jobs; strengthen the skills needed to match the job market; and inform about their economic rights, available employment opportunities locally, regionally, and outside the Arab World, and connect them to potential employers across the MENA region through an overarching support network.
Our mission is to build the capacity of young people to become a productive workforce. Through our right-based approach youth learn about their economic rights that are the building blocks to understand, identify and report on violations and good practices, and improves their ability to defend their political and civic rights. YSkills builds interpersonal and communication skills, deepens youth’s understanding of economic rights and the workings of the job market; and creates a solid network across the Arab region to give access to essential employment resources, connect to the public and private sectors and offer support to those entering the job market.
