I am a Biologist with PhD in Biomathematics. Besides my basic research work, throughout the years I have developed considerable experience in developing scientific software in the field of Mathematical modeling.
My main research focus is understanding complex dynamical systems (such as biological and social systems).
My main academic production are in the areas of Mathematical Epidemiology.
I am also interested in social network and other emerging information technologies as tools for basic and applied research, This is sometimes known as "Research 2.0".
